Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using BalanceBudget, you accept these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.

The service

BalanceBudget is a personal and shared budgeting tool. It is not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You are responsible for decisions made using the app.

Your account and data

Keep your password, device, and recovery key secure. Loss of your recovery key may prevent access to encrypted data. You are responsible for activity under your account and for inviting only appropriate people to shared budgets. Do not use the service unlawfully or interfere with its security or operation.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service when reasonably necessary. You may stop using the service at any time. To request account or data deletion, email EMAIL@PLACEHOLDER.EU.

Open-source client

The BalanceBudget client is licensed under GPL-3.0-only. That license governs your rights to the client source code; these terms govern use of the hosted service.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Czech law. Czech courts have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules give you rights in another forum.
